About the Opportunity

Applications are invited for the NITI Aayog Internship 2026 (May cycle). Selected candidates will work closely with various verticals, divisions, and units of NITI Aayog and gain exposure to policy-making processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work with different verticals/divisions/units of NITI Aayog
• Assist in policy research and analysis
• Prepare briefing reports and policy papers
• Contribute to empirical analysis and policy inputs

Eligibility Criteria

• Undergraduate students (completed 2nd year / 4th semester) with at least 85% in Class 12
• Postgraduate students (completed 1st year / 2nd semester) or research scholars with at least 70% in graduation
• Students who have completed final exams and are awaiting admission to higher studies (subject to score criteria)
• Gap between final results and internship start date should not exceed 6 months

Skills Required

• Strong research and analytical skills
• Interest in public policy and governance
• Good writing and communication abilities
• Ability to work in a structured institutional environment

Learning Outcomes

• Exposure to government functioning and policy-making
• Experience in drafting policy briefs and reports
