About the Opportunity
DGFT offers internship opportunities to law students seeking practical exposure to foreign trade policy, export-import regulations, and international trade law. This internship is particularly valuable for those interested in WTO agreements, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and trade compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in data analysis, policy research, and report drafting
- Work under DGFT officers on trade-related assignments
- Contribute to projects involving international trade law and policy
- Submit a final report/project for certification
Eligibility Criteria
- Law students (UG/PG) or research scholars from recognized Indian universities
- Minimum 60% marks in the last examination
- Preference for:
- Students from National Law Universities
- Candidates with coursework in trade/international law
- Must be an Indian national
- NOC (No Objection Certificate) from institution required
Mode of Internship
- Full-time, in-person internship at DGFT
- Placement at Headquarters or regional offices
- Limited remote roles may be available for research-based work
Stipend
- ₹10,000 per month
- Paid at the end of the internship
Duration
- Minimum: 1 month
- Extendable up to 3 months based on performance and requirements
