About the Organisation

The National Green Tribunal was established in October, 2010 under the National Green Tribunal Act 2010 for effective and expeditious disposal of cases relating to environmental protection and conservation of forests and other natural resources including enforcement of any legal right relating to environment and giving relief and compensation for damages to persons and property. It is a specialized body equipped with the necessary expertise to handle environmental disputes involving multi-disciplinary issues.

About the Internship

NGT invites applications for the Winter Internship Programme held in November, December and January. The programme is open to students registered in Law courses at recognizes colleges and universities in India,

Duration: 4 weeks

Interns will be required to present a research paper/report on a selected topic at the end of their study and also undergo other studies assigned and prepare notes on it and submit to the concerned officer for evaluation and suggestions, if any, by the Commission.

Note: The documents remain as intellectual property of the Tribunal and interns cannot use it without prior approval of the Tribunal.

A certificate will be issued to the Intern at the end of her/his internship after evaluation of the research paper or assessment of the work done.

Application Procedure

Applications may be sent either by post or by hand in prescribed format to reach the office of the Registrar General, National Green Tribunal (Principal Bench), Faridkot House, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi- 110001.

Applications can also be mailed at admn.ngt@nic.in.

Note: Application received after the last date may not be considered and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Incomplete application will not be entertained.
