About the Opportunity

The firm is looking to fill out the position of Associate in Practise Area of Indirect Tax & Customs for Lawyer / Chartered Accountant.

Responsibilities to be undertaken

Strong analytical skills with the ability to research on Indirect Tax / GST databases.
Knowledge of case laws, legal framework, regulatory updates, and their impact on assigned clients.
Good command over English with strong drafting skills.
Ability to conduct quick research to develop theoretical understanding of laws and acts.
Prioritises meeting client expectations by balancing quality and timelines.

Eligibility

Expertise in engagements relating to Indirect Tax Laws including Tax Restructuring, Advisory, Appeals/Writ Petitions under Service Tax, VAT, Excise, Foreign Trade Policy, Customs Law & GST.
Skilled in drafting opinions, replies to SCNs, appeals, writ petitions, SLPs, and in briefing counsels.

Experience: 2-3 years in Indirect Tax & Customs-Advisory & Litigation

Stipend: As per market standards

Location: Mumbai
