About the Internship Opportunity
The SEBI Legal Internship Programme is designed to provide law students with practical exposure to the legal and regulatory framework of the Indian securities market. Interns work closely with the legal department on research, drafting of show-cause notices, and analyzing appellate tribunal orders.
Eligibility Criteria
- Course: 4th or 5th year of a 5-year LL.B. OR 2nd or final year of a 3-year LL.B.
- Academics: Minimum 60% aggregate marks in the previous semester.
- Age: Must be below 28 years as of the date of application.
- Restriction: Students who have already appeared for their final semester exams are not eligible.
Internship Details
- Duration: Minimum 4 weeks, starting from the first working day of the month.
- Mode: Full-time (Physical/Offline) at SEBI Bhavan, Mumbai.
- Stipend: Up to ₹10,000 per month.
Application Procedure
Applications are accepted only between the 1st and 7th of every month for the internship in the immediate next month.
- Cover Letter: Applicants must upload a signed/stamped cover letter on their Law School letterhead (as per the SEBI format).
- Details: The letter must explicitly mention the aggregate percentage obtained in previous semesters.
