Organization Overview
PRS Legislative Research is an independent non-profit founded in September 2005. Headquartered in New Delhi, PRS strengthens legislative transparency by offering impartial, research-based insights to Members of Parliament and their offices.
Internship Details
- Mode & Timing: On-site in New Delhi, starting in September 2025.
- Duration: Typically spans 4–8 weeks, with flexibility depending on workload and schedules.
Role Structure
Interns can work with either:
- The Research Team, focusing on legislative and policy analysis.
- The Outreach Team, which tracks legislative activities and engages with stakeholders.
During parliamentary sessions, interns assist with timely assignments; in non-session periods, work is tailored to their interests.
What Interns Can Expect
- Support analysts in crafting policy summaries, briefs, or research notes.
- Undertake an individual research project under supervision.
- Gain exposure to the legislative process and analytical writing.
Requirements
- Research Interns: Excellent writing, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Data Interns (if applicable): Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, plus programming or data-processing experience.
- Design Interns (occasionally needed): Proficiency with design tools like Photoshop and Illustrator, along with data presentation skills.

- This is an unpaid internship with no accommodation provided.
