Legalis IP, a legal scholarship and policy research platform at the intersection of law, technology, and intellectual property, is inviting applications for its Spring 2026 Internship Programme. This is a selective, research-intensive internship designed for students passionate about legal research, policy analysis, and editorial work.

Internship Tracks

Applicants may choose one or more of the following:

  1. Legal Research Assistant
  • Doctrinal and interdisciplinary legal research
  • Drafting notes, research briefs, and background papers
  • Assisting in policy-oriented legal writing
  1. Editorial Intern
  • Reviewing and screening submissions
  • Citation checks and structural editing
  • Supporting publication workflows
  1. Social Media & Knowledge Dissemination Intern
  • Translating complex research into accessible formats
  • Supporting outreach and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Assisting with content dissemination

Areas of Focus

  • Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
  • Data Governance & Algorithmic Decision-Making
  • Technology Ethics
  • Cyber Law & Digital Regulation

Eligibility

  • LL.B. (3-year/5-year) or LL.M. students
  • Students from allied disciplines with interest in law, policy, or technology
  • Strong research and writing skills required
  • Prior publication experience is desirable but optional

Duration & Commitment

  • Legal Research / Social Media Intern: 1 month
  • Editorial Intern (Junior Editor Track): 6 months
  • Mode: Remote (open to candidates across India)
  • Workload: Flexible, 8-10 hours/week
