Legalis IP, a legal scholarship and policy research platform at the intersection of law, technology, and intellectual property, is inviting applications for its Spring 2026 Internship Programme. This is a selective, research-intensive internship designed for students passionate about legal research, policy analysis, and editorial work.
Internship Tracks
Applicants may choose one or more of the following:
- Legal Research Assistant
- Doctrinal and interdisciplinary legal research
- Drafting notes, research briefs, and background papers
- Assisting in policy-oriented legal writing
- Editorial Intern
- Reviewing and screening submissions
- Citation checks and structural editing
- Supporting publication workflows
- Social Media & Knowledge Dissemination Intern
- Translating complex research into accessible formats
- Supporting outreach and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Assisting with content dissemination
Areas of Focus
- Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
- Data Governance & Algorithmic Decision-Making
- Technology Ethics
- Cyber Law & Digital Regulation
Eligibility
- LL.B. (3-year/5-year) or LL.M. students
- Students from allied disciplines with interest in law, policy, or technology
- Strong research and writing skills required
- Prior publication experience is desirable but optional
Duration & Commitment
- Legal Research / Social Media Intern: 1 month
- Editorial Intern (Junior Editor Track): 6 months
- Mode: Remote (open to candidates across India)
- Workload: Flexible, 8-10 hours/week
