About the Assignment
Applications are invited for the position of Program Associate – South-South Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) under a UN Volunteer (UNV) National Specialist assignment with UNICEF.
The role will support UNICEF India’s efforts to strengthen South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC), facilitating knowledge exchange, program coordination, stakeholder engagement, documentation, and advocacy initiatives aligned with SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Chief, Social Policy & Social Protection, UNICEF India.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, International Development, Public Communications, Monitoring & Evaluation, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in international development, partnerships, advocacy, communication, or project management
- Strong Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), knowledge management, and report drafting skills
- Excellent oral and written English skills
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and digital tools
- Fluency in English (required); Hindi (desirable)
- Must be a national/legal resident of India
Age: 18–80 years

12 months (with possibility of extension)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and operational support across the SSTC programme cycle
- Draft concept notes, briefing materials, reports, and knowledge products
- Coordinate meetings, forums, and partner engagements
- Maintain stakeholder repositories and documentation systems
- Support knowledge management via dedicated SharePoint/ECM platform
- Track progress and contribute to results-based monitoring
- Document lessons learned and case studies
- Support advocacy and strategic initiatives
Volunteer Entitlements / Allowances
- Monthly Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): INR 70,158.41
- Entry lump sum (one-time payment)
- Exit allowance upon successful completion
- Relocation allowance (if applicable)
- Comprehensive health, life & malicious acts insurance
- 2.5 days annual leave per month
- Access to UNV learning and development resources
(Note: UN Volunteers are responsible for arranging their own housing.)
