About the Internship

Nyaaya is inviting applications for the position of Intern – Karnataka to support the Samvidhaan Fellowshipprogramme in the state.

The selected intern will work closely with the Karnataka Programme Manager and the programme team to assist with programme implementation, fellowship administration, logistics, and legal research. The role will involve coordination, documentation, and supporting various fellowship activities.

Eligibility

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate students in Law or Social Sciences (any year of study)
  • Strong interest in access to justice, social empowerment, and women’s & children’s rights
  • Fluency in English and Kannada (written and spoken)
  • Strong legal research, writing, and organisational skills
  • Good project management abilities with attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently
  • Willingness to travel within Karnataka when required (travel expenses reimbursed)

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in programme coordination, legal research, fieldwork, or social sector internships
  • Familiarity with legal empowerment or community-based programmes

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of the Samvidhaan Fellowship in Karnataka
  • Provide administrative and logistical support such as scheduling meetings, documenting events, and preparing reports
  • Coordinate with Nyaaya fellows, partners, and stakeholders
  • Support legal research for Nyaaya’s legal awareness initiatives
  • Assist with workshops, meetings, and field visits when required
  • Help with documentation, data management, and internal communications

Duration

⏳ 3 months (with the possibility of extension based on performance)

📍 Karnataka (candidates should be based in the state; no daily in-office requirement)

Stipend

💰 ₹7,500 per month + Experience Certificate
