The Digital India Bhashini Division (DIBD) is an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation (DIC), operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). It manages and executes the National Language Translation Mission: Bhashini, in collaboration with premier academic institutions like IITs and IIITs.

About the Legal Internship at Digital India

DIBD is offering a paid legal internship for law students with a keen interest in public policy, digital governance, and regulatory frameworks. Interns will work under assigned mentors and gain first-hand exposure to government-backed digital initiatives.

Internship Details

Location: DIBD Office, New Delhi
Mode: Onsite
Duration: Minimum 2 months, extendable to 3 months based on performance
Stipend: ₹20,000/month

Roles and Responsibilities

Interns will:

• Assist in legal and regulatory documentation related to the Bhashini platform
• Conduct legal research on technology, language, and data privacy frameworks
• Participate in compliance evaluations and help draft reports
• Engage in collaborative projects with academic and governmental partners

Eligibility Criteria

• Indian students enrolled in recognized universities in India
• Must have completed at least two years of a Bachelor’s in LL.B. program
• Minimum 60% marks in the most recently completed degree
• Preference will be given to candidates with prior internship experience, strong academics, and relevant legal interest areas
