NITI Aayog Internship 2025, New Delhi [June; 6 Weeks]: Apply by June 10

The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), the apex public policy think tank of the Government of India, is inviting applications for its Internship Scheme 2025 for the June batch. This program offers students an opportunity to engage with various divisions of NITI Aayog, contributing to policy formulation and gaining firsthand experience in the functioning of the Indian government.

About NITI Aayog

NITI Aayog serves as the premier policy think tank of the Government of India, providing directional and policy inputs. It plays a crucial role in fostering cooperative federalism through the involvement of State Governments in the economic policy-making process using a bottom-up approach.

About the Internship

The internship aims to provide short-term exposure to selected candidates with the different Verticals/Divisions/Units of NITI Aayog. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with the organization's teams, contributing to policy inputs such as empirical analysis, briefing reports, and policy papers.

Eligibility Criteria

Bonafide students at any recognized university/institution within India or abroad, fulfilling the following conditions, are eligible to apply:

• Undergraduate Students: Completed/appeared in the term-end exams of the second year (4th semester) of the bachelor's degree course and secured not less than 85% marks in 12th class.
• Graduate Students: Completed/appeared in the term-end exams of the first year/2nd semester of their postgraduate program or pursuing research/Ph.D. and secured not less than 70% marks in graduation.
• Recent Graduates: Students who have appeared in the final exam or just completed graduation/post-graduation and are awaiting admission to higher studies may also be considered, provided they have secured 70% or more cumulative marks in all the years/semesters of their graduation/post-graduation till the date of application.

Time Gap: The period between the month of declaration of the result of the final exam and the desired month of the internship should not exceed six months.

Duration

The internship shall be for a minimum duration of six weeks, which may be extended up to six months. Interns not completing the requisite period will not be issued any certificate.

Mode of Internship

The internship will be conducted on-site at NITI Aayog, New Delhi.

Interested candidates must apply online by filling up the registration form available on the NITI Aayog Internship portal. The online application link is open from the 1st to the 10th of every month.
