Legal Startup Pitching Competition, 2026, is a launchpad for legal innovation. This unique startup pitching event is designed for law students, legal professionals or anyone ready to solve real legal challenges through innovation.

Participants will pitch their ideas for products or services within the legal domain. Whether you’re working on a digital platform, a mobile app, a service model, or even an offline intervention to simplify or improve the legal landscape - this is your chance to pitch in front of top leading experts, gain mentorship, win exciting rewards, and be recognised. 

Eligibility

Open to all, regardless of background. We welcome ideas that can improve legal services, justice delivery, awareness, or legal tech — we want to hear from you.

Competition Structure & Rules

  • Team Size: Solo or a team of up to 2-4 members
  • Startup Type: Legal-tech, justice access, legal automation tools, legal education, awareness platforms, etc.
  • Pitch Format: 10-15 minutes per team (includes Q&A with judges)
  • Mode: Online (ensure stable internet)

Submission & Competition Details

  1. All participating teams must submit their business idea/proposal in PDF format to legalwikilaw@gmail.com by March 22, 2025.
  2. The competition will consist of two rounds: The preliminary round will be conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2025, and the Final round on Sunday, March 29, 2025.
  3. Both rounds will be conducted in an Online mode. The top 5 teams will proceed to the final round.
  4. The selection will be based on innovations, legal soundness, feasibility, and overall business strategy of the solution.
  5. All teams are required to present their business plan through a PowerPoint presentation before the jury.

Pitch Format (Prescribed Slide Structure)

  1. Title Slide: Startup Name + Tagline + Team Details
  2. Problem Statement: What legal problem are you solving?
  3. Your Solution: Product/service overview, what makes it innovative?
  4. Market Fit & Legal Relevance: Target audience and why it matters legally
  5. Business Model & Scalability: How will it work and grow?
  6. Tech/Execution Plan: Tools, platform, or model used (if any)
  7. Impact & Future Vision: Legal or social impact; future roadmap
  8. Team: Roles & strengths (if applicable)

Important Dates:

  • Registration Deadline: March 8, 2026
  • Proposal Submission: March 22, 2026, by 11:59 PM
  • Preliminary Round: March 28, 2025
  • Final Round: March 29, 2025
  • Result Announcement: March 29, 6:00 PM (via email & LinkedIn)

Please note: Seats are strictly limited to 30 teams, and entries will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.

  1. Can I pitch an idea that’s already built or launched?
    Yes, as long as it fits the theme of legal innovation.
  2. Is solo participation allowed?
    Absolutely! You can apply solo or in a team of up to 2-4.
  3. Do I need a PowerPoint presentation, and if yes, what is the slide limit?
    Yes, a pitch presentation is mandatory. You will get 10-15 minutes to present it before the jury, so plan your slides accordingly. The presentation must be submitted in PDF format only. Keep it simple, readable, and visually engaging—use bullet points, avoid long paragraphs, and ensure your messaging is clear, concise, and compelling. A maximum of 8–10 slides is recommended.
  4. I’m a beginner. Can I apply?
    Of course! This is a beginner-friendly competition with pitching tips provided.
  5. Who owns the ideas pitched?
    You do. LegalWiki does not claim any rights over your idea.
