About the Job

Amex is seeking a Legal Operations Specialist to join its Global Legal Team. This role is perfect for those who are meticulous, tech-savvy, and interested in the "engine room" of a multinational legal department—handling case management, legal request validation, and cross-border document retrieval.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Graduate in Law (LL.B.) or related subjects.
• Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in a legal operations team or an in-house legal department.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office; ability to quickly learn and navigate complex legal databases.
• Communication: Articulate and fluent verbal and written English is mandatory.
• Traits: Strong sense of urgency, ability to meet tight deadlines, and absolute commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Case Management: Opening legal matters in the system and routing them to the correct global workstreams.
• Validation: Assessing the validity of legal requests in accordance with Amex’s global procedures and applicable laws.
• Research & Retrieval: Evaluating legal requests, researching internal accounts, and identifying/retrieving documents responsive to those requests.
• Compliance: Ensuring all responses comply with U.S. and international laws and internal risk management protocols.
