About the Position

JSA is looking to onboard a skilled Labour & Employment Lawyer to join its Mumbai team. The role is highly specialized, moving beyond general corporate advisory into the nuances of Indian labor regulations, workplace compliance, and employment-related dispute management.

Eligibility Criteria

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) specifically in Labour and Employment Law.
• Competencies: Strong drafting skills for employment contracts, handbooks, and separation agreements.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Industrial Disputes Act, POSH Act, Social Security Code, and state-specific Shops & Establishments rules.

Key Responsibilities

• Advisory: Counseling clients on a broad spectrum of employment laws and workplace compliance.
• Documentation: Managing complex documentation related to hiring, terminations, and workforce restructuring.
• Dispute Management: Assisting in labor-related disputes and internal disciplinary proceedings.
• Compliance: Auditing workplace policies to ensure alignment with evolving central and state-level labor regulations.
