Justice K.V. Viswanathan was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Supreme Court in 2009 and served as the Additional Solicitor General of India from 2013 to 2014. In May 2023, he was directly elevated from the Bar to the Supreme Court of India as its tenth such appointee.

About the Internship

The Office of Justice K.V. Viswanathan, Judge, Supreme Court of India, is accepting applications for in-person and full-time internships on a rolling basis for September 2025 - December 2025.

Internship Responsibilities [Non-exhaustive List]:

- Briefing matters

- Conduct in-depth legal research and drafting memos/notes.

- Attending court proceedings and taking detailed minutes.

Interns are expected to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times, ensuring that all information obtained during the internship is handled with the utmost discretion and that their conduct consistently reflects the integrity and excellence required by the office.

Eligiblity

- Undergraduate law students (2nd year or above in 3-year program, 4th year and above in 5-year program).

- Postgraduate law students.

Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis, applicants should ideally submit their application 5 weeks prior to the intended start of their internship.

Selection Process:Applicants will be interviewed telephonically or virtually. Confirmations will be communicated 2-4 weeks prior to the start of the internship.

Orientation: At the start of the internship, interns will participate in an orientation session covering essential procedures, tools, and policies, and will be provided with necessary templates and protocols to ensure they are well-prepared for their responsibilities.
