The Ministry of Women and Child Development, a branch of the Government of India, is an apex body for formulation and administration of the rules and regulations and laws relating to women and child development in India.

About the Internship

Ministry of Woman and Child Development (MWCD) is inviting applications from women students/ scholars/ social activists/ teachers enrolled in/ associated with any university/ academic/ non-academic institution under ‘Internship Programmes of the Ministry.

Eligibility

Applications are invited from women students/scholars/social activists/teachers from Non-Tier I cities and rural parts of India.
Aspiring candidates for the Internship Programme need to be enrolled in/associated with any university/ academic/ non-academic institution.
Candidates from the age group 21-40 years may send their applications.

Stipend:

Selected interns would be granted a lump sum stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month.

Reimbursement of travel costs (by deluxe / AC bus / 3 Tier AC train) of the journey for joining the programme in the Ministry and return at the end of the programme.

Willing interns would be provided with a hostel facility on sharing basis for the duration of their Programme in Delhi.

Duration: The internship programme will be offered in four distinct terms throughout the financial year:

May-June
August-September
November-December and
February- March, each with a duration of two months.

Location: Delhi

Vacancies: 20 interns per batch.

Last Date to Apply:December 10

The applications can be submitted two months prior to the start of the internship, between 1st and 10th of the month (e.g. 1st -10th March for May-June, 1st -10th June for August-September etc.).
