About the Organisation

The Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR) is a not-for-profit trust that was started in 2009 by Jayna Kothari and Sudhir Krishnaswamy. It was established in recognition of the need to have a legal research organisation dedicated to the rule of law and defence of constitutional values. Through their work, they aim to equip citizens in a way to better evaluate their own socio-political contexts and improve access to justice to marginalised groups.

About the Internship

CLPR invites applications for the position of Litigation Intern, starting mid-October in New Delhi.

Duration: Minimum 5 Weeks

Mode: Hybrid (Flexibility of online work on non-court days)

Tasks to be performed: Providing CLPR advocates research and drafting support on public interest and strategic litigation in the Supreme Court and High courts across India.  

Eligibility

  1. Students of third and above years of 5-year program and second year and above of 3-year program may apply.
  2. Candidates with no law degree but extensive legal research experience will also be considered.
