The Competition Commission of India (CCI) is a statutory body established under the Competition Act, 2002, entrusted with the mandate to prevent practices having an adverse effect on competition, promote and sustain competition in markets, protect consumer interests, and ensure freedom of trade in India.
About the Internship Opportunity
The Competition Commission of India invites applications for its Legal Internship Programme, aimed at providing law students with practical exposure to competition law, regulatory processes, and antitrust enforcement in India.
Stipend
₹15,000/- per month
Number of Seats
15 interns per month
Eligibility
Students pursuing:
- 2nd or 3rd year of a 3-year LL.B. programme
- 4th or final year of a 5-year integrated LL.B. programme
- LL.M. students
- Applicants must be Indian Nationals
- Prior exposure to Competition Law is desirable
- Students with a confirmed placement are not eligible
Duration of Internship
- Normally one month
- Extension up to 2-3 months may be granted upon recommendation from the concerned academic institution
Certification
An electronic certificate shall be issued upon satisfactory completion of the internship, subject to certification by the assigned mentor/guide.

Application Procedure
- Applications must be submitted strictly in the prescribed format (Annexure)
- A recommendation from the competent academic authority is mandatory
- A Statement of Purpose (approximately 200 words) is required
- Applications must reach by the 1st of the preceding month for which the internship is sought
